how it works
1
PROPERTY ASSESSMENT
First, we will meet to define what matters most for your legacy—whether that is maximizing timber income, enhancing wildlife habitat, or creating a space for recreation. Then, we will perform a "boots on the ground" inventory of your land, documenting tree species, soil health, water resources, and existing wildlife.
2
MANAGEMENT ROADMAP
Using the data from the assessment, the forester creates a tailored "blueprint" for your property that includes detailed maps, scientific prescriptions, and a clear timetable of activities. This comprehensive roadmap outlines your forest stands, topography, and trails, providing a 10-year strategy with specific recommendations like selective harvesting to improve growth, invasive species control, and habitat creation.
3
IMPLEMENTATION
Once the plan is in motion, we will oversee the work—such as supervising timber sales or thinning projects—to ensure it meets your long-term goals. Because forests are living systems, the plan is a living document, meaning we periodically review the results and update the strategy based on the forest's health and any changes in your priorities.
