how it works
1
STAND ASSESSMENT
We begin by aligning a marking strategy with your specific vision. After assessing your forest’s density, age, and health, we determine which trees should stay and which should go. Whether you prioritize immediate income from mature "crop trees" or long-term forest health by removing diseased or overcrowded specimens, every mark serves your ultimate goal for the land.
2
VOLUME ESTIMATION
Once the strategy is set, we walk the stand and mark each tree to be harvested with specialized paint at eye level and the stump. During this process, we record the species and measurements of every marked tree to provide a precise tally of the board-foot volume and estimated value. This gives you a clear, data-backed expectation of your return before any harvesting equipment enters your woods.
3
FUTURE GROWTH
The final and most critical step is ensuring the residual stand is positioned for maximum future growth. By carefully selecting which trees to remove, we create a healthier canopy structure that reduces competition for sunlight and nutrients. The result is a forest that is left in better condition than it was found, securing your legacy for the next generation.
